Illuminations - A collection of poetry and journal by Angie Sayers

In 2005 fourteen year old Angie Sayers was diagnosed with bone cancer in her right leg.  A month later the doctors decided to amputate the diseased leg but that did not stop her mind from working.

During her course of treatments, relapses and surgeries Angie was able to go deep into her soul to compose some of her best works.

The poetry and journal entries gives us an insight of her positive attitude during her fight with cancer.  Even though the disease relapsed within her body several times she still maintained the energy to fight back.

In 2011 the cancer has finally taken over and found a place doctors cannot treat and her last wish in this world is to have her writings published.

I was very pleased to be asked to design and publish Angie Sayers book Illuminations.

With the help of the charity A Kid Again, Angie's dream is coming to light.  With an email sent out by the charity, many people responded including the editors at Chicken Soup For The Soul who have published her "10 Steps To Moving Forward" on their website.

People and businesses have come forward to contribute towards the publishing of her work.  Angie's words should enlighten the world and give not only people who have a life threatening illness the ability to overcome the woes of the disease but encourage healthy individuals to maintain a positive attitude in troubled times.

Angie's blissful spirit will be carried forward by many of us.

You may order a copy of this wonderful book and the proceeds benefit A Kid Again.
